The location is unsurpassed for a traveller wanting to stay in right in the hustle and bustle of downtown Cairo. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel has a historic feel. The premises are clean and functional.

The place is perfectly located in downtown, right close by Egyptian museum. There are plenty of cool places to eat nearby and its a 10 min taxi ride to Zamalek the most hip area of Cairo.. The staff was very nice and let us check in a bit earlier and check out a little later. The room was at the 6th floor, it had a very comfortable bed , clean and we also liked the wooden floor and high ceilings! There was an air conditioner but we did not need it. The breakfast is served at the same floor which is convenient. We liked it, its a good value and keeps you full for several hours (although not very diverse :)).

The location of this hotel is really fantastic, right in the middle of Downtown Cairo. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and brought me tea and coffee in my room. The room had a lovely balcony which was really nice to sit on in the mornings and afternoons. Nice omelette for breakfast! Comfortable and large bed!

Grand Royal A nice place in Cairo downtown.the staff were very welcoming and helpful the room was good value for money . Clean and tidy room with air-conditioning, Good breakfast in the morning and WI fi internet inside my room . Great experience

When we arrived we were told they were all booked out and in the dark we were directed to another hotel. We booked the original accommodation 2 weeks prior to the date.

The view is really great!! The staff was really friendly with us and they offered a good breakfast as well but due to a misunderstanding from booking side they thought I was complaining a thing which is not true as I was contacting booking for another hotel. Anyhow, we have managed to resolve it immediately. I really liked it since it was near to everything and it was not noisy at night as I thought it could be. The room was clean, sheets are good as well. So, honestly I highly recommend it for even more than 1 night.

The hotel is well located no more than 10/15 minutes away by foot from the Egyptian museum, the river Nile, Tahrir square, 15/ 20 minutes from the Abdeen Palace museum, 25/30 minutes from 'Islamic Cairo', and the main bazaar. The Nile tower can be reached in 15/ 20 minutes. Also handy for restaurants and fast food joints eg, Felfela, Abou Tarek. The staff were pleasant and the management seemed very friendly especially on first meeting. On the penultimate day of my stay, I enquired about a tour of the pyramids of Saqqara and Dahshur and Memphis museum ( very last minute indeed ) which they were able to accommodate,without a guide -for which I was very grateful . I enjoyed the day immensely and the driver was very likeable and courteous and improvised at times as tour guide. Being a cat lover, the presence of cats in the building ( not in the hotel) was a pleasant surprise.
